Joeleen Dodge loves art in all its forms. When she discovered clay as a medium, she found the perfect blank canvas to express herself along with her artistic point of view. Each of her pieces expresses a uniqueness of her own, from the edges to the organic underside, all with an attention to detail.
She primarily hand-builds with porcelain clay. She prefers porcelain due to its extremely tight clay body making porcelain very durable for daily use.
To create art that serves a function and brings beauty into our lives is her ultimate goal. Whether it be the morning mug of coffee or family and friends gathering for a seafood feast served on a beautiful oyster platter, bringing happiness to the owner and user brings her personal satisfaction.
Her work is not a piece just to look at, but one to be used and loved.
