ALAN HVIZDAK

Alan Hvizdak is a member of the Wilmington Area Woodturners Association and Greater Topsail Art Association. Every piece of wood has its own character and tells the turner what the possibilities are for a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Alan has developed a passion for woodturning and harvests most of the wood he turns. Traveling throughout the country, Alan has turned Eucalyptus and Olive wood from California, Aspen wood from Colorado and Ash wood from Michigan to name a few. Some wood is from this diverse state of ours. Locally, the many storms have produced a windfall of various wood species. Hickory, pecan, holly, walnut, oak, cherry and cedar are just a few. Each one-of-a-kind piece is signed and names the wood species so it may be enjoyed by the purchaser and loved ones for years.
