Amber Marshall
Amber Marshall hails from the St. Louis, Missouri area. In 2001, she graduated with a BA in sculpture from Illinois State University. Soon after graduation she began working at a public glass studio in her home town, where she taught beginner and intermediate glass courses for 9 years. She decided to take a break from teaching and focus on developing her own work through a residency at Energy Xchange, a craft-business incubator offering studios powered by landfill gas. Although her residency at the Energy Xchange ended unexpectedly, Amber chose to remain in the welcoming craft community that she finds very rewarding. She currently rents glass hot shops from friends in the community and public access studios to create her work.
In addition to her training at Illinois State University; she has also studied at: Corning Studio, The Glass Furnace in Istanbul, Turkey, and The Pittsburgh Glass Center.
