Annie Ingram
Annie Ingram is a contemporary oil painter based in coastal North Carolina, known for bold color, expressive palette-knife work, and luminous landscapes that capture the beauty and transformative power of light.
Growing up in Minnesota, where long, dark winters often heightened her anxiety, Annie developed a deep appreciation for warmth, sunshine, and brighter days. Today, that connection to light is at the heart of her work. Painting offers her a freedom from anxious thoughts, and she translates that sense of peace into vibrant coastal landscapes, dramatic skies, and glowing reflections that invite viewers to escape into a brighter, more hopeful place.
Working exclusively with palette knives, Annie combines rich textures, energetic movement, and metallic underpaintings to create paintings that balance bold expression with a sense of tranquility. Annie’s work has been featured in regional and international exhibitions, including a solo show at ACES Gallery in Wilmington, NC. Her paintings are held in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, and her large sailboat diptych was commissioned for permanent installation at Novant Health Scotts Hill Medical Center.
