Barbara Bennett Designs
Barbara Snyder was born and lived on Long Island most of her life. Educated at Parsons School of Design in New York, she worked in interior design for many years designing custom furnishings and corporate computer and trading rooms for the Fortune 500. Over twenty years ago, Barbara moved to the Raleigh, N.C. area where she became a Food Service Consultant/Interior Designer and focused on restaurant and corporate cafeteria design.
In 2009, Barbara began studying silversmithing at Pullen Arts Center in Raleigh. Upon retirement in 2011, she moved to the coast settling in Southport and set up her own a silversmith studio, Barbara Bennett Designs. Her creations are carefully hand-crafted focusing primarily on sterling silver jewelry. Much of her design is organic and her influences are based on elements from the sea.
