Susan Sharpe
Susan Sharpe is a master in the fiber arts world. With a BA & MA in art education she is National Board Certified K-12 in art, has taught for Caldwell Community College, Appalachian State University & Dade Co. School Systems in Florida. She received her MFA in studio fiber arts from East Tennessee State University and has exhibited across the east coast. Specializing in art quilts & felted landscapes, she also is a weaver and uses recycled fabrics such as denim to create beautiful hand woven rugs.
As an art educator, Susan focuses on teaching 1-2 day workshops on papermaking, printmaking, and textiles which all culminate into her works of art. Classes such as multicultural arts education, visual & verbal literacy, and personalized population groups are her specialty. Each of her pieces is one of a kind and unique. She has been an active participant in the world renowned Penland School of Craft in the mountains of NC through various workshops.
