Tom Allen, owner of Tradition Surfboards, LLC has been surfing since he was a mere 4 years of age. Tom truly got motivated as a late teen, at that time he knew there was no turning back. Tom started competitively Surfing in his late 30’s, up and down the East coast. Eventually, Tom found inner peace with soul surfing.
Why build surfboards? Coming from a long line of woodworkers, combined with Tom’s 25 years in the cabinet industry, it seemed only natural to meld his love of exotic woods with surfing. Hence Tradition Surfboards was born, in Calabash, North Carolina on the property where Tom resides. Whether you want a custom surfboard on the wall of your beach house, that special board hanging out of the back of a classic street rod, or maybe just riding down the line of the perfect wave Tom Allen can build your board.
